Braefield Dementia Care Home

Care Circle’s facility at Braefield is situated in between the villages of Connor and Kells, on the outskirts of Ballymena.  This purpose-built care complex offers a new level of comfort and care. Within this facility we have an intimate dementia care facility with just 13 beds that provides care in a calm and homely environment. It aims to take dementia care to a new and unprecedented level in Northern Ireland.

 

Working in an innovative partnership with experts from the University of Ulster, Care Circle is pioneering a new approach to dementia care that is already being widely acclaimed by health care professionals. It aims to set a new standard of care for people with dementia. The focus is on individuals' ‘wellness and ability’ rather than illness.

 

This partnership demonstrates Care Circle’s commitment to the ongoing development of the way care and services are provided to ensure that the person and their family are always at the centre of the decisions made. The development and research work being undertaken as an integrated part of the way we work in Care Circle demonstrates our commitment to a truly 'person centred' approach to care that meets individual needs in a bright, modern and safe environment.
